Every other year, the exhibition venue at the Gromov Flight Research Institute’s airfield in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region, hosts Salon MAKS, Russia’s most important and fascinating aerospace event.

For over 30 years, MAKS has been the flagship international forum offering global aircraft and space achievements. Zhukovsky was the first venue to unveil to the world Russia’s best-in-class civil and military aerospace equipment and present brand-new foreign aircraft.

MAKS’ exhibition covers 42+ hectares, with 40,000+ sq. m of exhibition space for pavilions and chalets, and 45,000+ sq. m of outdoor and static display areas.

MAKS gathers 570,000+ exhibitors and guests, including 140,000+ specialists. MAKS’ Business Program includes 150+ events, scientific conferences, business meetings and negotiations on the industry’s relevant topics.

During the exhibition business days, MAKS is the center to display the most recent achievements of the domestic and world aerospace industry. Russian aviation and aerospace leaders, small and medium-sized businesses and regional companies may use the exclusive opportunities of the exhibition to present their developments, display and full-scale models to the Air Show exhibitors and guests.

On public open days, MAKS offers large-scale air shows involving 120+ aircraft and the best Russian and foreign aerobatic teams.

MAKS deservedly ranks among the world's top aviation forums. Currently, MAKS is in the top 10 of the world's aviation forums, such as Le Bourget and Farnborough, ILA Berlin Air Show, Dubai Airshow, Singapore Airshow, Airshow China and others.

Today MAKS is a unique platform to display Russian high technologies, build up broader industrial cooperation and set up joint projects with Russian or foreign partners.

Aviasalon JSC is an organizer of MAKS.

Aviasalon was set up as an LLP on February 14, 1992, and later transformed into a CJSC, into an OJSC in 1997, and into Aviasalon JSC on May 26, 2020.

Aviasalon’s team of highly skilled specialists prepares and holds MAKS and other industry-specific international exhibitions of aerospace equipment and high technologies in Russia and abroad. Such congresses and exhibitions facilitate Russia's integration into the global aerospace community and foster domestic cooperation.
